Hit Half Price on Parmer on the way home from Georgetown. I bought 27 books, including some postmodernists that I was looking for an a book for Ali about Korean gender role shifts.

Made it home, and within a few minutes, was approached by Ray, or 'Crisco,' who was needing some more money. His mother apparently died, and he needed to split town.

Got back to the house from Lakeway, where Sterling helped me out for the Uhaul trailer.

Ate at Mr. Natural with Yvonne. Vegan breakfast...

...and gave a bit of a tip...

...which Yvonne took care of (mostly).

Had a little Mi Madre's and a coffee with Ster.

Stopped by HEB for stuff to take to Pappy's.

Hit the Round Rock Half Price on the way to Georgetown. I bought 25 books.

Bought some wine at the Shopper Stop aka Shoot and Scram.

Made some copies, bought some pens, and laminated some stuff to teach at Posada Esperanza tomorrow (eating with the five senses).

Dropped by Savers, found a pair of nice pants and a nice shirt. Brown and yellow, respectively.

Paid "Crisco," or Ray, to move the trash from Lakewaste. He's a nice feller. Of course, I had to go get cash from the ATM at the Shoot 'n Go...

...which, of course, cost me 1.75.

Got some Pho for din-din...

...and tipped the dude.

Found the following books at Half Price, South Lamar, while looking for Glass, Gattis, Johnson, and Markson: The Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann, You Are the World by Krishnamurti, Ham on Rye by Charles Bukowski, In Watermelon Sugar... by Richard Brautigan, Good As Gold by Joseph Heller, and Tree of Smoke by Denis Johnson.

Hit a second Half Price, North Lamar, after finding Recycled Reads closed. Again, searching for Glass, Gattis, Johnson, Markson. Found these: Living on Luck by Charles Bukowski, A Rosario Castellanos Reader by Rosario Castellanos with criticism by Maureen Ahern, Conversations with Professor Y by Louis-Ferdinand Céline, Wittgenstein's Mistress by David Markson, Cement by Fyodor Vasilievich Gladkov, The Loved One by Evelyn Waugh (I accidentally bought this one twice, forgot to put one back, crap), Nova Express by William Burroughs, and The Floating Opera by John Barth.

Stopped by HEB for some groce.

Had to hit Fiesta for coconut milk, as HEB was out.

MLK Day.

Stopped by Fiesta with Praveen and bought some South American and Mexican favorites, including yerba mate, chayote, and malta. Also found, but didn't purchase, guanábana pulp in a can.

Went with Praveen up to MT Supermarket, and stocked up. Bought some curry paste, massive bag of jasmine rice, some veggies, and noodles, along with various condiments, sauces, and teas.

Had to ride the old bike to HEB for some last minute things, attempting to make khao soi.

Bought some pulque at the 45th and Duval spot, where they have so many crazy beers.

Watched the UT Basketball game, wherein Texas lost to Kansas State, who I hate with all my heart. I drank four beers on happy hour...

...and was gratted by the waitress, who probably knew she wouldn't get shit from us cause she was so slow and remiss.
